Little Pixies is a keyboard class for children aged 4 –7 yrs. This class is ideal for children who are wanting to learn an instrument but may not be ready for formal piano lessons. It is a fun, weekly class, conducted in a group. Places are limited as class maximum is 8-10 (to enable us to give every child focused, individual attention).
Little Pixies is also a good class if parents want to see how their child responds to music lessons, before investing in a piano and/or piano lesson. If they do show enjoyment of learning, then private piano lessons are available at Pixie Piano when they are aged 5 and up. |

It is a social class where children get to interact with each other and the teacher as they learn their first musical instrument. Most of all, they don’t realise they are learning because they are simply having so much fun! These classes build the necessary skills and confidence in little pixies, so that they can develop a love of music and go onto learning the piano when they are ready.
It is important that all enrolled little pixies have access to a keyboard/ piano at home. It is recommended that children are encouraged to practise daily at home. 30 minutes is ideal but if you find their attention span is smaller, it is best to break the practise up into 2 lots of 15 minutes for example. Little Pixies are also given weekly home activities to do during the week. |
